Technology Leadership

HPDC

HPDC is short name for High Performance and Hybrid PassivatedDual-Junction Cell, The cell adopts high and low junction, and achieves excellent passivation effect and reduced light absorptionby optimizing film design and deposition process. A local layer with low resistance is incorporated at the front tofurther enhance cell efficiency.; Additionally, the front and back coatings foranti-reflection and low recombination, as well as metallization solutions withlow recombination rates, have been optimized. The upgraded HPDC cell boasts superiorconversion efficiency, power temperature coefficient, and enhanced reliability.

PERC Cells

PERC solar cells improve cell efficiency by depositing additional passive coating and laser grooves on traditional cells. LONGi launched its mono-PERC modules in 2016, featuring integrated PERC technology on monocrystalline silicon and low light degradation, and its cell efficiency has increased from 21% to 24.06%.

Bifacial PV

Bifacial modules collect solar energy from both the front and back side of the module, increasing the total power output per module. LONGi had scaled up high-volume manufacturing of bifacial modules and has become the largest producer of bifacial PV products, with cumulative shipments of bifacial modules surpassing 20GW in early 2021.

Half-cut Module Technology

Higher power & higher reliability: Half-cut technology adopts the IR laser to cut the high efficiency cells from one to two to halve the current. Finally, the heat losses on fingers will be reduced significantly and module efficiency could be increased by 2%. Working current reduction of cell increased module reliability at the same time, especially bifacial cells with higher working current.

Life-cycle Standards

LONGi always adheres to the principle of "Customer Value First", and implements the "Longi Life Cycle Standard" in every link and application of production to ensure the reliable realization of terminal value. The release of the "Longi Life Cycle Standard" promotes the high-quality development of the photovoltaic industry. At the same time, the use of Longi standard orders has improved delivery efficiency by more than 30%, saving customers more time.

Mono Silicon Crystalline Technology

Leader of mono crystalline silicon technology: LONGi has pioneered in diamond slicing wafer technology, which maximizes wafer output from the square rods and facilitated the M2 standards formation in this industry. In 2019 and 2020, the M6 and M10 standardized wafers were introduced successively, and these have driven down the cell and module production costs as well as BOS. Eventually, maximized values will be brought to the customers.
